Production Estimator - Town Living

This is a rewarding and challenging Production Estimator role located in our Mount Waverley Office, working within our Medium Density Division in TownLiving by Metricon.
TownLiving by Metricon offers contemporary living and amenity at an affordable price in some of Australia’s leading new home estates. TownLiving by Metricon’s range of townhomes offers the space and flexibility you’ve come to expect from Metricon. Open-plan living, light-filled rooms and stunning contemporary fixtures and fittings are all found in these low maintenance townhomes. A TownLiving home is a turn-key solution which means there’s nothing to do after collect keys but move in and enjoy the home – a fabulous option for singles, first home buyers and downsizers.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include: Issue Production jobs to site in a timely manner, within program and high qualityContinued focus on obtaining the best possible value (price vs. quality) in materials specified and usedEnsure all site files contain clear and accurate information and that they are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with the predetermined scheduleImplement effective cost control measures into the master BOQ’s and ensure accurate and complete Bills of Quantities are maintainedMaintain a sufficient level of labour and material contractors and suppliers to undertake budgeted works within the required timeframesPromote a customer first culture and ensure internal customer expectations are metBe aware of Management expectations on production and outputParticipate in effective communication with construction staff and administration staffComplete all required reports on a regular basis; andAssist other Operational team members wherever possible.

The successful candidate will have: Prior estimating experience within Australian Residential Housing ideally in Medium Density TownhousesTrade background is an advantageWorking knowledge of construction processes and detailsCompetent Microsoft Office suite computer skills, particularly in ExcelWorking knowledge of an estimating system is an advantage; andA GREAT ATTITUDE.
