: CIT is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and professional senior educator to fill the role of Educator Level 2 (/EL2) in CIT Trade Skills, Building Management located at Bruce campus. 

WHAT DO WE WANT? 
The primary focus of the position is to work closely with the Head of Department to provide leadership, guidance, and support to the team to ensure consistently high education and training outcomes.

The successful candidate will foster and bolster new and emerging partnerships and sustain collaborative relationships with community, industry, and other key stakeholders.

The successful applicant will need a strong background in Vocational Education and Training (VET) with industry background desirable.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 
Reporting to the Head of Department, your responsibilities will include:

Providing leadership and guidance to support Students in relation to training progression, learning pathways and completion. Providing leadership, guidance and mentoring to support educators in relation to teaching and learning practice Working with CIT support services to support student progress. Represent CIT through effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders including partners, industry, and the community. Teach as directed up to the number of hours prescribed in the current CIT Educators Enterprise Agreement. Support Department RPL processes including creation of RPL tools. Apply CIT policies and principles including CIT Culture Traits, ACT Public Service Values, Work Health and Safety and other standards.

Eligibility/other requirements :

WHAT DO I NEED? 
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS/LICENCING
Refer to the ACTPS CIT Educators EA 2023-2026, sub-Clause M10.8.

Clause M10.8 states that all employees at Educator Level 1.3 (TL1.7) to the Head of Department Level must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent) and a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or equivalent).

Industry Experience
In accordance with sub-Clause M10.10 of the ACTPS CIT Educators EA 2023 - 2026.
All employees at Educator Level 1 or Level 2 are required to have relevant industry experience and vocational qualifications equal to that being taught, or as specified in the applicable training package or accredited curriculum specifications.
Must be able to teach across a range of CIT Building Management programs including the Certificate II in Construction Pathways, Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) and Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) qualifications.
