Our Digital Division currently has a permanent, full-time opportunity available for a Senior SAP Security Specialist (referred to internally as a Senior Security Technical Analyst) to be located at any of our major locations – Brisbane, Toowoomba, Maryborough, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville or Cairns –and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.

About your new role:

As a Senior SAP Security Specialist (Senior Security Technical Analyst), you’re responsible for planning, designing, building, and running SAP technology security solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of EQL’s digital environment. Working largely with roles and authorisations in S/4HANA, you lead and influence the overall design and approach to SAP security across the business.

You’re a SAP security subject matter expert and undertake a combination of BAU tasks and project work that contributes to the SAP security build, supporting EQL’s overarching Digital Strategy. You contribute to the following dynamic initiatives designed to deliver new and amended SAP security solutions and infrastructure:

• Clean Core Initiative;
• EQL UX Strategy; and
• IAM (Identity and access management) Optimisation.

A typical day for you sees you supporting project teams, performing operational support activities relating to security build and authorisations, producing customer application access mapping and documentations, building applications in line with business requirements, conducting functional design and testing, facilitating change and deployment processes in production, undertaking root cause analysis for incident and problem management, and leading the planning of upcoming application releases and upgrades.

Another key focus of your role is acting as a conduit of SAP security knowledge to your fellow team members to increase capacity, build durability and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth by contributing knowledge articles and continuous improvements in security operational and design documents.

The remuneration for your new role starts from $159k plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight. You also have the option of a 9-day fortnight with salary adjustments if you’re seeking greater work life balance.

About you: 

You’re degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Alternatively, you possess the equivalent professional experience required for success. If you also hold formal certifications in SAP security, you stand out from the rest.

You’ve worked on at least one full SAP implementation project within your career, and from this, you have the required knowledge of multiple security related domains including Fiori UI technologies, User Management, SAP Access Controls 12.0, and SAP Identity Management 8.0 and applicable SAP security processes, policies and standards.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone who holds demonstrated experience and proven expertise in the following technical areas:

• BTP Security Management and Technologies;
• S/4 HANA Security Build and Planning;
• S/4 HANA upgrade Impact Assessment and Planning for Security;
• GRC Access Control (Including Risk Management in SAP); and
• IDM Technical Overview.

You’re a logical thinker who’s an expert at root cause analysis. You scan the environment, think ahead, assess risk and impact, and plan effectively to achieve successful outcomes.

You’re experienced operating under agile approaches, are comfortable working within a large and complex organisational environment and can manage competing demands and prioritise effectively.

You’re a strong communicator who is adept in translating technical jargon and communicating complex issues to achieve stakeholder understanding. Your highly developed writing and documentation skills enable you to produce technical work standards, knowledge articles and procedures to a high professional standard.

You enjoy working as part of a high-performing team and have the natural ability to coach and mentor your peers to grow their knowledge, understanding and ability in all matters relating to SAP security.
