Our client, a multinational pharmaceutical organisation aspiring to be the premier research-intensive biopharmaceutical company, is at the forefront of research to deliver innovative health solutions to people and animals. They are currently seeking a highly skilled SAP Migration Specialist/SAP Technicial to support both technical and functional migration requirements, tranisitioning from their MS GP ERP to SAP.

Contract Duration: 18 months (Day-rate contract)

They are currently seeking a highly skilled SAP Migration Specialist/SAP Technicial to support both technical and functional migration requirements, tranisitioning from their MS GP ERP to SAP.

Role Overview:

The SAP Migration Specialist will be the central figure for the duration of the migration project, which will run until go-live at the end of 2025. This role involves extensive liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring the seamless design, testing, and implementation of SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Workstream Business Support:

  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, supporting design, testing, and implementation.
  • Verify business requirements, identify key business and test scenarios, and support change management, training, and security provisioning.
  • Represent the business in workstream meetings.

Master Data Migration:

  • Assist with data migration activities, including collection, completion, and cleansing.
  • Support product data readiness, providing inputs to master data governance.

Change Management and Communications:

  • Support training of key users and local users, providing instruction in local language based on English training materials.
  • Facilitate business go-live activities and provide support during hyper care.

Business Readiness:

  • Assist in business go-live activities and support key-users during hyper care.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or senior expertise in Operations Management and Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales (Order to Cash), Quality, Supply Chain Management, Transport and Distribution, Master data management, and ERP management (especially discrete manufacturing).
  • Experience in SAP migrations from key-user, workstream lead, and integration lead perspectives.
  • Strong hierarchical reporting skills and the ability to advise on ERP migration initiatives within departments.
  • Experience in data analysis, developing data strategies for converting existing data, and familiarity with archiving and restoration processes.
  • In-depth SAP knowledge (mandatory), with AERA knowledge desired.
  • Expertise in defining test scenarios, executing tests, and documenting results.
  • Ability to verify resolutions for identified gaps and conduct thorough data and process analysis.
  • Strong project management skills, including risk identification, mitigation planning, and managing changes to project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Key Activities:

  • Understand, prepare, plan, schedule, and execute business requirements and processes.
  • Conduct end-to-end solution reviews and summarize impacts.
  • Deliver process documentation and provide input or review functional specifications.
  • Confirm necessary data elements and evaluate opportunities to simplify or reduce duplicates.
  • Develop an Agile approach for conversion files.
  • Prepare for department UAT and define test plans.
  • Assist with testing and defect resolution.
  • Provide input for deployment strategy and cutover plan.
  • Participate in training assignments and facilitate user provisioning.
  • Provide on-site go-live support for the department/workstream for one month.
