The Role

As an integral part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for the lubrication of our critical assets such as SAG & Ball mills, flotation circuits, Isa mills, thickeners and filtration plants and contribute to metal production through the reliability of these circuits. You will be working closely and liaising with the maintenance and reliability team to ensure smooth running of our concentrator. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide effective maintenance in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner to ensure that production and statutory requirements are met.

This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical), Motor Mechanic or Diesel Fitter essential
  • Current manual driver’s license
  • Experience within mining/heavy industry environment.
  • Experience with hydraulics, grinding mills, pumps and flotation circuits will be advantageous.
  • Sound computer skills
  • Problem solving skills are highly advantageous
  • Forklift ticket, hydraulic knowledge and mechanical aptitude would be highly desirable
  • A self-motivated attitude and enjoy working in small yet highly productive teams.
  • The ability to adapt to change in duties from day to day.
