Security Monitoring Analyst

Security team at ING Australia provides security capabilities and consultancy that enable the entire organisation to be successful in a safe and secure way. Security Monitoring Analyst is responsible for monitoring the Bank’s cyber security environment across Australia region to work as part of a collaborative team to manage the end-to-end application security process.
This role is responsible for monitoring the Bank’s cyber security environment across Australia region and to work as part of a collaborative team to manage the end-to-end application security process. What you’ll do …
Investigate and respond to security queries and escalations from internal and external sources, including managing the events from detection to classification as an incident, and through to closure. Threat modelling, identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats. Work closely with Tech teams to ensure that system vulnerabilities and weaknesses are identified and tracked to closure. Work with ING Global Security team as local virtual team member. Manage and articulate a task independently with minor supervision. Manage Security Monitoring related backlogs and priorities effectively according to department/organization goals.What we’re looking for…
Experience with the security technologies, Vulnerability, and compliance scanning tools. Proven experience Server Operating Systems (Windows / Linux) and network technologies (switches, firewall, proxy servers). Experience in security information and event management systems, password, and privileged access management systems. Knowledge of scripting languages with minimum 2-3 years IT security experience.What’s in it for you?
