This opportunity

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract, accountable for improving the architecture, capacity, performance, lifecycle, design, functionality configuration and risk management of Network Security Services.

You will enable and support Architecture and Delivery teams in the planning, design, and execution of relevant Network Security solutions outcomes. You will ensure a close working relationship with the other engineering domains, the broader Technology organisation, and the relevant vendors.

Responsibilities

As a Network Security engineer, you will help design and implement Security projects delivering domain impacting solutions and projects: Creation and development of solutions ensuring design standards are followed, and highlight potential deviations that may impact capacity, performance, lifecycle, security objectives. Support teams through design approval, testing and acceptance. Contribute to the system architectural and capability evolution. Ensure compliance & integration with the Enterprise Architecture. Identifying and investigating opportunities to utilise and integrate emerging technologies to provide cost effective, flexible solutions. Enhance Network Security Services systems in relation to those system’s capacity, performance, and lifecycle; delivering enhanced security solutions to improve TPG’s security position and visibility. Drive and support all Network Security Services projects from initiation through to closure. Provide detailed designs for the project including timing requirements. Work with portfolio managers to agree on scope, time and budget and then support the project through design approval, testing and project acceptance.

Knowledge and experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Good understanding of security architecture and environments Technically proficient within the relevant technology domain, familiarity with multiple technology domains. Fortinet, Routing and Security experience. Ability to identify and implement steps to mitigate project risks reducing TPG exposure to project delays / additional costs / service impacts.
