Here at Apprenticeship Careers Australia taking Expressions of Interest for  1st – 4th Year Plumbing Apprentices who are keen on starting or continuing their career in the Plumbing Industry, located all over Melbourne. Throughout the apprenticeship, applicants will be required to study a Certificate III in Plumbing, whilst practically learning all aspects of the trade.

The Opportunity:
As a Plumbing Apprentice you will be installing, maintaining and repairing related equipment for water supply, gas, drainage, sewage, heating and cooling, and other systems. Meanwhile you will be surrounded by an awesome crew to support you whilst gaining your practical experience working on site with a qualified tradesperson whilst studying to complete you Certificate III in Plumbing. 

Duties May Include:

  • Construction plumbing of new, high-rise residential/commercial units/ towers
  • Groundworks, temporary plumbing, decks
  • Rough ins , stacks, copper fitting-off, installing appliances
  • Handling plumbing supplies and materials
  • Carry out maintenance and repair to new and existing plumbing for gas, water, sewage systems and drainage systems e.g. digging drains, installing pipes
  • Follow appropriate manual handling techniques for handling materials and equipment, including lifting and moving items
  • Follow written and verbal instruction in the workplace
  • Read and interpret plans and diagrams

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident
  • Have current drivers licence, preferred but not essential
  • Hold a current White Card, or be willing to obtain one
  • Someone who likes to work in a team
  • Willing to learn all aspects of the trade
  • Enjoy working outdoors
  • Be reliable, honest and eager to learn
