Lawyer - Litigation & Dispute Resolution

We areseeking experienced lawyers to join our Insurance Litigation teamin Melbourne on a full-time basis. This role will see youwork alongside highly regarded partners Peter McGrath, Emma Dawesand Hannah Jankiewicz in a highly collaborative and supportiveteam.
The practicefocuses on defending medical malpractice claims brought againstVictorian public health organisations, health care providers andindividuals in the Victorian Courts. The team has a depth ofexperience and a strong foundation for any lawyer who has a desireto build a specialisation in this area and work within a talentedteam of dedicated specialists.
Aboutthe role
This rolepresents a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's largestteams in the medical defence area where you will provideexceptional legal advice to clients, conduct defence as required,assist the senior lawyers and appear in court.
Subject toyour experience, you will have autonomy to take ownership of theday to day running of files with supervision and mentoring fromsenior members of the team. You will further advance yourcareer via exposure to a range of matters including medicalnegligence, personal injury, common law claims and coronialinquests. You will also be encouraged to be involved in firmactivities and committees.

To besuccessful in this role you will have 3+ years plus postqualification experience with a litigation background, ideallyworking in private practice on matters relating to medicalmalpractice, public health, personal injury orWorkCover.
You arehardworking, dedicated and possess a high level of integrity whendealing with clients and colleagues. A high level of client serviceis expected as are excellent organisation, written and oralcommunication skills.
