Role Overview

 
As a passionate and eager Senior Designer, you’ll act as a brand custodian for GroupM and our portfolio of brands, bringing creative flair to internal and external marketing collateral.
No day will be the same in this dynamic role, and you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work on a wide variety of graphic design and video projects from producing presentations for client pitches, internal staff presentations, beautiful employee engagement assets, Hype reels and video, developing and supporting marketing and events initiatives, creating social media assets, digital advertising, EDMs and print collateral.
 
You’ll be highly organised and able to manage your own time and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to meet deadlines across small, medium and large design projects.
 
Your role is pivotal in all our internal, marketing and client communication and will form part of a central Group Growth & Marketing team. The purpose of this team is to deliver a market-leading New Business and Marketing approach that best showcases our agencies and delivers growth across the group. Your role will work together as a group squad, supporting the agencies and GroupM.
 
You will be responsible for working with the agency Leadership Team and key stakeholders to ensure that everywhere GroupM shows up – is on brand and a high standard.
 
This is an exciting role working within a core team within the leading media agency group across Australia and New Zealand.
 

Key Stakeholders
 
The role reports into the GroupM Head of Communications & Marketing.
 
You will also work in direct collaboration with the GroupM Head of Marketing & Growth, Chief Growth Officer as well as the agency Marketing & Growth teams, and GroupM leadership team.
 
Direct Reports include a Designer.
 
Potential to work as a job share with another Designer.
 

Responsibilities 

As a creative thinker with strong design skills across static and motion design, your role is pivotal in all our internal, marketing and client communication.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Work on multiple design initiatives from internal communications, social media, marketing intitives to new business pitches
  • Produce creative, impactful graphic design, PowerPoint presentations and business & marketing collateral that tells a visual story and sells a message
  • Lead video and hype reel production.
  • Create illustrations and logos on new design projects
  • Maintain brand and design consistency on all projects
  • Pro-actively contribute to ideas to the creative process
  • Work across a range of projects and with a range of teams, and effectively coordinate multiple projects and deadlines
  • Create and schedule EDMs & Email campaigns

We are looking to build our in-house capacity to develop more video / motion is social content and hype reels so we are hoping to find someone who can contribute to all stages of video creation, from ideation to execution and final delivery.
 
Competencies

  • Graphic design related qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Ideally 5+ years experience in a design and advertising agency environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, and Canva
  • Specialist in high end presentation design and animation (PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe creative suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Video Editing, Animation & motion graphics are also highly desired (Lightroom, Dreamweaver, After Effect & Illustrator)
  • Strong understanding of print and digital design process
  • Proficient working in both static visual and motion design projects 
  • Experience in advertising, digital advertising campaigns, animated gifs and brand & Email templates, social media assets, video editing skills
  • Appetite to explore how AI can support in the field of Design (Figma)
  • Excellent communication, prioritisation, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of new media design trends.
  • Very strong organisational and self-management skills, ability to work to deadlines
  • High attention to detail
