About the role

We're on the lookout for a talented individual to join us as a Corporate Copywriter In this role, you'll be responsible for our corporate reporting, communications, and marketing materials, crafting clear, concise copy that resonates with diverse audiences across key channels. You’ll shape our reporting narrative and collaborate closely with senior leadership, subject matter experts, communications, regions, and functions to ensure our messages hit home every time. What you will be doing

  • Develops clear and compelling messages for various audiences, focusing on corporate reporting and campaigns
  • Manages engaging content to promote understanding of Orica’s strategy and strategic initiatives across a wide range of audiences and channels
  • Interprets briefs and conducts research to gather high-quality information for copy development
  • Oversees copywriting projects from concept to final copy, adhering to best practices
  • Acts as a trusted partner to senior global and regional communications stakeholders
  • Maintains brand consistency and compliance across all written assets
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to deliver clear messages to target audiences
  • Provides regular engagement metrics to evaluate copywriting activities
  • Utilizes SEO techniques to optimize copy for maximum reach
  • Supports publishing content across key communications channels
     

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of corporate copywriting experience
  • Annual reporting and Integrated Reporting experience
  • Proven impact through measurable content projects in a portfolio
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Familiarity with online content strategy and SEO
  • Ability to generate imaginative ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and build strong stakeholder relationships at senior levels
  • Industrial/B2B experience with demonstrated knowledge of Orica's markets
  • Familiarity with mining, explosives, and blasting concepts is desired
  • Experience in SHES-related communications role within a listed entity and global organization preferred but not required
