Multiplatform Producer

• Create content for the ABC
• Full-time, fixed term contract for 12 months

• Salary circa $101K to 110K plus 15.4% ABC nominated super

The Role

The Parliament House Bureau is looking for a Multiplatform Producer to focus on video and audio content for political programs from Canberra Parliament House and the planning of significant political events coverage with digital first content. 

The Job

• Lead video coverage for digital, mobile and TV platforms.
• Assist with production of Afternoon Briefing and other political programs out of CPH.
• Oversee editorial processes ensuring bureau output meets ABC Editorial Policy and community expectations. 
• Check and sub content for factual and style errors/inconsistencies and ensure content is accurate, timely and innovative.

About You

You will have outstanding knowledge of News production in a multiplatform environment and extensive experience managing live digital media, mobile and broadcast production. You will also bring:

• Leadership skills and experience in managing staffing and organising rosters and backfills.
• Proven and effective teamwork, communication, interpersonal and time management skills to operate in a busy newsroom environment. Ability to guide teams with continuous deadlines.
• Experience and understanding in using audience data insights and the latest trends in audience behaviour to drive editorial decision-making processes as well as to influence content creation on both digital and broadcast platforms.
