Company Overview:

The ABC's Parliament House Bureau is seeking a skilled Multiplatform Producer to focus on video and audio content for political programs from Canberra.

Salary: Circa $101,000 to $110,000 plus 15.4% super.

Job Description:

  • Lead video coverage for digital, mobile, and TV platforms.
  • Assist with the production of Afternoon Briefing and other political programs out of CPH.
  • Oversee editorial processes ensuring bureau output meets ABC Editorial Policy and community expectations.
  • Check and sub content for factual and style errors/inconsistencies and ensure content is accurate, timely, and innovative.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Outstanding knowledge of News production in a multi-platform environment.
  • Extensive experience managing live digital media, mobile, and broadcast production.
  • Leadership skills and experience in managing staffing and organising rosters and backfills.
  • Proven teamwork, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills to operate in a busy newsroom environment.
  • Experience and understanding in using audience data insights and the latest trends in audience behavior to drive editorial decision-making processes as well as to influence content creation on both digital and broadcast platforms.
