About the Role
We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to join our team to provide clinical leadership to a dedicated and highly motivated nursing team within our Medical Service. Ward 4A is a 32 bed mixed medical ward caring for Acute Stroke, Neurology & General Medicine patients. 
As a NUM within these specialties, you will lead and inspire a highly motivated team to deliver safe, quality and effective person-centered care to our patients to ensure a positive experience. With a passion for quality care and compassion, you understand the importance of developing a high functioning team that is focused on safety and excellence. You will ensure inclusivity and a positive and collaborative environment, and play a key role to ensure patient, staff and stakeholder engagement. As well as providing clinical leadership, you will be accountable for delivering on key quality assurance and performance indicators, as well as achieving operational, financial and workforce management targets. 

Reporting to the Service Manager for Medicine, you will be well-supported by the leadership team for professional development opportunities, including the Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing, Senior Nursing team, Senior Medical Staff as well as the broader leadership team.

In this role, you will have;

Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)  Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent A minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience in medical nursing Post Graduate qualification in a specialty field / or higher / working towards

Desirable Qualifications;

Experience in managing a department (including acting/deputising a manager role) Nursing experience in both the public and private healthcare sector

If successful. you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $60.93- $65.54 per hour.
