Braking the Cycle

We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Program Manager to be responsible for the oversight, continued improvement and ongoing sustainability of the Braking the Cycle (BTC) driving program across Queensland in PCYCs. Braking the Cycle (BTC) is our driver mentor program designed to support learner drivers without access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours. The aim of the program is to provide young people with increased employment opportunities and driver education.

Your New Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Youth, the Program Manager for BTC will be responsible for building long term strategic partnerships with stakeholders, mentoring community development officers to secure program resources and for overseeing the financial aspect of the program. In addition to this, you will be tasked with reviewing the program model regularly, and developing a framework for retaining mentors and road safety professionals in the program. About You
- At least 5 years' experience in similar role
- Relevant Advanced Diploma/Tertiary qualifications in either Human or Community Services and/or extensive and specialist knowledge in business development, fundraising, financial and team management
- Well developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to secure ongoing funding through corporate and community networks
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)
- Hold a light rigid driver’s licence and a Restricted Drivers' Authority (or ability to obtain)
