As the largest university in Australia, Monash is well placed to leverage its globally networked campuses and international alliances in Europe and Asia. The School of Social Science at Monash is diverse and vibrant, including research expertise in geography, anthropology, sustainability transitions, sociology and politics. We have a strong and supportive research culture, led by internationally recognised scholars successful in attracting national and international competitive research funding. The School of Social Sciences also has strong ties to the Climate Change Communication Research Hub and Monash Sustainable Development Institute. The successful applicant will be based at the Clayton campus in Melbourne. The successful candidate will join a vibrant PhD cohort of over 400 students within the Faculty of Arts.
