About the Role
We are currently looking for experienced Electrical Supervisors to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance teams. We have permanent positions available across our WA Iron Ore sites on an 8/6, 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth.
Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, your role will involve safely leading and supporting the electrical team through the maintenance and execution of the electrical plant & equipment across site.
Your duties will include:
- An overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities
- Safely lead and support the Electrical team through planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Overseeing compliance with electrical standards, weekly work schedule, operating standards, procedures.
- Working effectively with other maintenance and production team members, including contractors, to better understand and manage equipment maintenance and resolve problems affecting plant and equipment.
- Building relationships across Site and Functions to achieve a positive working environment for task execution
- Monitoring of asset electrical integrity and compliance to statutory maintenance & inspection requirements
- Communicate electrical occurrences and investigation outcomes to the network provider and industry regulators when required
- Demonstrating, supporting and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
- Managing and coaching work groups on quality, task-based risk assessments
- Strong commitment to the field leadership program and the coaching of field leadership activities.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Electrical Trade certified & A grade electrical license – essential
- Current Australian C class manual drivers licence – essential
- Strong safety leadership skills and a proven work history of field leadership
- Well-developed understanding of the operation and maintenance of mining Fixed Plant equipment
- Experience working with high voltage, instrumentation, PLC controls systems.
- Electrical appointed supervisor history
- Currently an in-house electrical nominee, or committed to becoming one
- Strong 1SAP & Fiori knowledge and skills
- Experience in performance management
- An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a desire to develop and learn
- Previous Mine site experience, preferably in a similar type of role.
