- Based out of either our Norwest and Surry Hills support offices with flexible work arrangements available. Our Routing Team works from 5am to 3am 7 days a week so some out of ordinary hours work is required to support operational requirements.

What you’ll do
HomeRun is seeking a highly skilled Routing Manager to join our eCommerce business that is currently delivering 250k+ orders per week. Reporting to our eCom Network Optimisation Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring strong alignment on operational performance metrics with our delivery partners, driving outcomes to ensure both profitability and consistency of service for the eCom business.
Our Routing team is critical in planning tens of thousands of deliveries per day across over a thousand vehicles while ensuring we meet our delivery promise to customers. You will manage this team and ensure efficient and achievable routes are planned for our transport partners considering relevant Chain of Responsibility and OH&S legislation and policies are complied with.
- Continuously improving key metrics of On Time Delivery and Drop Cost
- Managing the day-to-day routing and processing all Woolworths Online fleet deliveries across the nation.
- Engage with a range of internal (e.g. store leadership and operational teams) and external stakeholders (Transport & Technology Partner/s) to deliver exceptional customer experiences in the most effective and efficient method.
- Management of the Daily Routing Process. getting the most out of our vehicles while also abiding by relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Ensuring that we are handing our partners an achievable operational plan which can be safely completed.
- Network Optimisation - Reviewing window and geographic mapping profiles for stores to address concerns with on time delivery, drop cost and capacity fluctuations.
- Seasonal Planning/event - Support and/or lead the planning and execution of key seasonal and promotional events
What you’ll bring
Our new eCommerce Routing Manager will be driven and passionate, keen to get things done and able to make an impact in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for a team player with:
- Solid experience or exposure to working with routing and logistics
- Flexible working hours - including a weekend on call roster
- Experience working with and interpreting data to derive actionable insight
- A sound understanding of the Chain of Responsibilities and the importance of a business to comply with these requirements
- Strong computer skills – Excel, Google for Work Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced, complex environment
- A customer centric attitude, with a demonstrated ability to manage external providers to deliver strong performance outcomes
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency in the delivery of accuracy within one’s work
