ICT Deputy Director

The Role
The EL 1 Deputy Director operates independently with significant autonomy and accountability for their teams work outcomes. This role requires a high degree of initiative and judgement in interpreting both internal and ICT policies and implementing practices and procedures. 

Key responsibilities include providing expert ICT Governance, contract management, ICT security, professional advice, and policy guidance on complex matters, as well as contributing to strategic planning, actively participating in contractual matters, and actively engaging in policy development. This role also includes setting work priorities and effectively managing workflow.

Our mission is to provide a suite of managed Platforms as a Service that enables business units to deploy capabilities in support of their strategic objectives. 

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidates will play a pivotal role in sustaining and enhancing ICT services across JCG by championing a customer-centric approach and a strong focus on stakeholder and contract management. 

Effectiveness in this role necessitates a collaborative approach under broad guidance alongside other JCG functions and Defence business stakeholders, with a primary goal of delivering business outcomes efficiently and effectively. This entails the need for well-developed skills or knowledge in the following areas - ICT security, contract management and relationship management. While having a background in service management, some technical ICT knowledge, and project management skills can be advantageous.
