About Our Client

Our client is committed to providing appropriate training and support to all its employees. The incumbent will actively participate in all training and/or facilitate training to ensure all maintenance employees are equipped with the relevant skills to meet performance objectives.

Job Description

  • Follow and apply all OH&S policies and procedures both from a company and regulatory perspective.
  • Contribute to personal well-being and the well-being of co-workers.
  • Lead and develop a high level of compliance within the maintenance team to deliver a world-standard maintenance environment.
  • Lead the maintenance trades team in respective areas to optimise plant and equipment as per manufacturer's recommendations, ensuring plant and equipment are maintained at a high level to deliver optimal performance.
  • Work closely with the Reliability Engineer to improve and develop planned maintenance (PM) tasks as per original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to ensure all PM tasks are planned, resourced, and executed on time and to the required standard, as per OEM recommendations.
  • Resolve operational or technical equipment problems to minimise production interruptions resulting from equipment breakdowns, failures, or under performance.
  • Assist in fault finding, failure assessments, and root cause analysis to prevent recurring breakdowns or failures.
  • Lead and develop a proactive culture within the wider maintenance team with the aim to move to a predictive maintenance position.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to assess and develop processes to identify and narrow skills requirements to improve maintenance performance with a focus on a proactive mindset.
  • Generate key performance reports and provide daily feedback to maintenance and production with relevant data to assess gaps and drive continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

    • Trade (Mechanical or Electrical) qualified.
    • 3-5 years of maintenance experience in food processing or manufacturing, preferably in poultry processing or meat product processing industry plant.
    • Experience in installation, operation, service, fault finding, repair, and maintenance of processing equipment
    • Proven experience in leading small teams in a maintenance environment.
    • Experience or understanding of Australian OH&S regulations.
    • Team management of a small to medium maintenance team, preferably in FMCG food industry positions.
    • Pneumatic-hydraulic training and the ability to read schematics.

$105-110k + super + overtime
