Your role at St John of God Bendigo Hospital
You will work as a member of the operating team and be responsible for cleaning duties and instrument cleaning duties within the Theatre Complex.
The Position- Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good condition.- Restock cleaning and sterilisation supplies and report of low stock.- Undertake cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of all reusable medical devices within Main Theatre and Day Surgery units.- Participation in ongoing training and development to enhance your understanding of instrument cleaning, handling, disinfection and sterilization processes.- Practice good housekeeping to maintain a clean and tidy work area.- Maintain efficient, standards based practice to provide quality medical devices for clinical use.- Perform daily and weekly tests and cleaning as required.- Keep accurate and thorough documentation.- Organize repair servicing via MexOps, tagging out as required.
You will have ability to use initiative, demonstrate reliability and thereby require mínimal supervision and guidance.
To succeed you will have have understanding of Infection Control principles and practice and
relevant education in sterilising technology is desirable.

We can offer you- Salary: $35.10 to $38.10 (includes casual loading ) + 11.5% superannuation- Casual position position available- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
