We currently have an exciting 24 month fixed-term contract opportunity for a passionate and motivated technology enthusiast who is eager to join the Cyber Security capability. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the implementation the People First Bank cyber awareness program that educates and inform employees, contractors, and other stakeholders about cyber security threats and best practices for protecting People First Bank data. This includes designing and delivering training materials, running phishing campaigns and evaluating the effectiveness of security awareness initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a point of contact for staff with cyber-related questions or concerns
  • Supporting the ongoing enhancement of the People First Bank Cyber Awareness strategy
  • Supporting the identification of top human-related cyber risks facing People First Bank
  • Proactively working with technical and non-technical team members to support and promote security awareness content to be shared with staff, members, and the broader community.
  • Engaging with our member facing teams (across retail and business bank) to deliver engaging and educational cyber content to a range of members.
  • Coordinating phishing and awareness campaigns 
  • Staying up to date on industry trends and information and ensuring key audiences are updated as needed
  • Providing awareness data as required for the preparation of regular reports/presentations
  • Overseeing the operational management cyber awareness collateral
  • Mentoring the Cyber Security Awareness Analyst 

About you

Success in this role will be characterised by your ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships while gaining support from department leaders for our cyber security practices. Additionally, your previous experience in relationship management in technology or similar, along with an understanding of cyber risks concepts relating the human element will set you apart from the crowd. 

You must also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A demonstrated understanding of cyber risks concepts and the human elements that make up cyber risks
  • A demonstrated understanding of enterprise as well as personal technology risks and intersections between people, processes, and technology
  • Ability to develop and present documentation/ presentations targeted at different audiences in a creative and engaging manner
  • Ability to proactively take initiative to organise and encourage internal community outreach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with security awareness program development and delivery
  • Familiarity with information security standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, ASD Essential 8)
