Talenza have partnered with Tour De Cure to secure the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), which comes at a very exciting time in TDC's history, where they are looking to further enhance the business through strategic initiatives such as a digital transformation and national expansion, which will drive TDC closer to achieving its mission to double the annual funds raised for cancer research.

In 2023 TDC surpassed more than $100m raised, which has resulted in 148 cancer breakthroughs.
Tour de Cure (www.toudecure.com.au) is one of Australia’s most impactful and successful Not-For-Profit organisations. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for managing and executing strategies to achieve the goal of curing cancer and changing lives.

The successful CEO applicant will be working closely with the Chairman to refine and implement strategic plans that will be approved by the board. The CEO will lead the organization by leveraging the internal team (Currently 30-35 employees), committees, partners, volunteers, and third parties to enhance Tour de Cure’s impact through increased resources for cancer awareness, prevention, and research.
The CEO will need to operate at multiple levels: both strategic and operational; both running and transforming an organisation; leading with vision yet being very practical.

It is essential as the CEO to have demonstrated experience in leading an organisation through a period of change & transition. The first 6-12 months will be building robust & efficient systems & processes with the use of technology that allows Tour De Cure to achieve its ambitions.

Key requirements include:

  • 10+ years’ experience leading a reasonably sized organisation;
  • Understanding of strategic plans and their role in achieving board-agreed outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively with the Chair and Board.
  • Leadership skills to define, shape, and lead a strong team.
  • Client-focused with strong operational and execution capability and effective delegation.
  • Understanding of and ability to deliver IT including digital strategies.
  • Adept at people resources and maximizing their value.
  • Understanding of governance requirements, including ACNC regulations.
