The Opportunity

Senior Manager, Project Delivery plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives aligned with the organisation's strategy. Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities, tasks, and required skills and competencies for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Delivery:
• Ensure appropriate allocation of resources to projects.
• Induct new project resources in the organisation's approach to project and change management.
• Provide support to projects for successful delivery of outcomes.

Project Delivery Capability:
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of project management framework and principles.
• Support collaboration and capability development within the Projects Community of Practice.
• Foster an environment of service excellence within the Project Delivery function.

Strategy & Planning:
• Define a strategy for the Project Delivery team aligned with broader PS strategy.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure clarity on the initiatives roadmap and optimize project sequencing.

Engagement & Communication:
• Build relationships with key project personnel and stakeholders.
• Ensure project sponsors and teams understand Project Services offerings.
• Collaborate with critical functions across the organisation.

Leadership & Workforce Management:
• Provide effective leadership, guidance, and coaching to the Project Delivery team.
• Manage team and individual performance.
• Define and implement measures to scale the function as needed.

About You

Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualification in relevant field preferred.
• Trained in project and portfolio management approaches.

Experience:
• Experience in overseeing large and complex programs.
• Leadership experience in medium-sized enterprises.
• Strong partnership and advisory skills.
• Experience in developing project management approaches and frameworks.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills.
