Fuse Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Welders for our client’s Greenacre Manufacturing site paying $45 p/hr You must have a current Welding related qualification for these roles.

For You:

These roles have both site based and factory based components

The initial role will be site based in Waverly then after this project will be base din the welding team in Greenacre.
 

  • Day shift
  • 7am – 3:30pm
  • $45+ p/hr
  • Site based project roles throughout the Sydney Region
  • Manufacutinrg based production line work

Duties:

  • Mig Welding
  • Plan and drawing Reading
  • Inspection of final product
  • Manual handling duties
  • Measuring and marking work pieces using straightedges, rules, and calipers.
  • Cutting and smoothing metal components using portable grinders.
  • Reading and interpreting production drawings in order to lay out a welding project.
  • Collaborating with project managers and metal tradesperson to ensure smooth work operations.
  • Maintain welding safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a risk-free work environment.
  • Assisting trades people in installation of brackets, mounts and racking on client sites
  • Working across a production line in the Greenacre Manufacturing facility
  • Welding mounting products for the Audio Visual industry
  • Assisting trades people on site with installation of racking and brackets for Audio Visual equipment
  • Organise and clean welding equipment on a regular basis.
  • Preparing materials for welding by cleaning metal surface using scrapers and grinders to remove rough spots. Bore holes through metal workpieces using a drill press.
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers to inspect angles, grooves or gap allowances.
     

The Candidates:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have:
 

  • Current valid White card
  • 2 years Mig Welding experience
  • Experience working with Carbon steel
  • Trade Certified
  • An excellent ability to read plans, technical drawings and interpret shop drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent WHS knowledge
  • An ability to commit to the role in an ongoing capacity
  • Must be able to work autonomously
  • You must love being on the tools
  • Forklift license would be advantageous
  • Previous Trades Assistant / site based welding experience
