The Role:
We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medicine Registrars to work in a large teaching Hospital who can ideally work from - November 2024 through until Feb 2026, with the option to extend.

  • Current AHPRA registration or eligibility via competent authority pathway (UK, Canada, USA, NZ, Ireland).
  • Highly desirable – airway skills

This teaching Hospital is ACEM accredited as a major referral centre for two years of advanced emergency training and the smaller Regional Hospital has accreditation for 12 months as an urban district hospital.

The case-mix is unique with a young population (average age 32), and the highest per capita rates of acute rheumatic fever, TB, blunt and penetrating trauma in Australia.

Enjoy the benefits of receiving paid protected teaching time weekly, incorporating practical workshops, invited speakers, high fidelity simulation and primary and fellowship exam preparation for ACEM trainees, as well as access to APLS, ALS, MIMMS, Australian Trauma Team Training and other courses.

The Hospital has 345 beds servicing a population of over 140,000 it has a diverse population including urban, regional, and remote centres.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • To be successful in applying for this position you must be registered with AHPRA.
  • PGY5 and above with suitable EM experience
