The Position

The LocationThis beautiful and intriguing tropical city is a melting pot of diverse people and cultures, renowned for its unique and friendly laid-back lifestyle. As the home of Northern Territory commerce and business, it boasts world-class natural and cultural attractions, making it a vibrant hub for tourism, nightlife, and retail activities.

The Facility
This is a tertiary, level 3 teaching hospital with nearly 400 beds and approximately 1,700 staff. It serves a population of 200,000, encompassing urban communities, regional hospitals, and remote Aboriginal communities. Affiliated with Flinders University and hosting an onsite medical school, the hospital is ACEM-accredited as a major referral center, providing two years of advanced emergency training.
The Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification eligible for registration AHPRA
  • General Registration with AHPRA
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to General Surgery.
  • Passion for rural, regional and Aboriginal healthcare.
  • An enthusiasm to develop cultural competency
  • Special interest in Vascular
