Metso is currently seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler who will be responsible for effectively planning and coordinating all Engineering Service activities, technically analyse the work required,  decide on the provision of resources necessary to complete all work efficiently, on time and to a high-quality standard.

The Role:

  • Create accurate project and work plans for works to be performed
  • Develop labour schedule for project work, initiate and monitor work activity
  • Attend weekly planning meetings with all relevant departments to track progress of project schedules for communication to key stakeholders
  • Report all technical issues and supply relevant data to the Project Manager for action
  • Review work order scheduling performance and assist in the development of strategies for achieving set targets.
  • Ensure areas for continuous improvement are identified and discussed with Supervisor
  • Coordinate quoted delivery due dates with the production schedule and communicate to the key stakeholders.
  • Communicate any changes to job requirements, price and other relevant issues including when jobs are completed 

The Person:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of mining equipment and processes
  • Minimum of 5 years post trade experience
  • Experience providing project planning and scheduling; working with project management reporting tools and systems.
  • Must have Primera P6 experience
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Experience with development and updating S-Curves from schedule
  • Previous BHP experience is a plus
