The opportunity

The opportunity we have is for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join us on a permanent full-time basis.  The function will consist of managing all BAU activities whilst also playing a key role in process improvement. 
 

Key responsibilities

The role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:

  • Overseeing the end-to-end Payroll processing of a large payroll function – 4000+ employees, across multiple entities
  • Completion of PAYG, WorkCover and Superannuation payments
  • Ensure relevant Awards and legislation are interpreted
  • Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiencies
  • Proving accurate information in response to employee queries

About you

The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Team Leader position along with the following experience skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Team Leader or Supervisor, managing a large payroll function
  • Previous experience in leading a strong and efficient payroll team
  • Strong experience using SAP, essential
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, superannuation, and award interpretation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A commitment to continuous learning and development
