The company
As a nationally established organisation with several international locations that provide technical support, products and engineering services to the hydraulic and mechanical sector. They are a robust group that can provide a variety of hydraulic products, from hose, fittings, valves and controllers, to pumps and motors, workshop and site hydraulic maintenance services. In addition, they provide design, manufacturing and machining services across their national facilities. 
 
The position
As the applications engineer, you will be required to support an existing customer base requiring technical support, guidance and resourcing. You will also work closely with the sales team relating to technical sales and enquiries, conduct site meetings where you will review and provide suggestions for hydraulic upgrades and performance improvements.

Duties include:

  • Support and assist the existing client base
  • Provide technical guidance and review hydraulic designs
  • Conduct site visit to determine the correct application requirements
  • Support the current sales and business development team 

Skills & experience required:

  • Mechanical engineering degree or detailed industry mechanical trade experience
  • Fluid power mechanical hydraulic background
  • Hydraulic circuit interpretation and troubleshooting
  • Design experience
  • 5 years of relevant industry experience
