What will your typical day look like: 

As the Java Engineering Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of talented Java engineers while driving the technical direction of projects and overseeing solution architecture. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, translate them into actionable development plans, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Solution Architecture: Design and guide the implementation of robust and scalable solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to architectural best practices. 
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Java engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. 
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Java-based consulting projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and timelines. 
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and develop tailored solutions that meet their business needs. 
  • Technical Oversight: Provide architectural guidance and best practices for Java development, ensuring high standards of code quality and performance. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution. 

Required interpersonal skills/experience 

  • Previous consulting or client-facing roles; 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; 
  • Comfort working in a flexible and dynamic environment; 
  • Technical certifications will be highly regarded. 

  

Required role specific skills/experience 

  • Extensive experience in Java development with a focus on integration solutions, including experience in a management or leadership role. 
  • Proven experience in consulting, with a strong track record of delivering successful integration projects. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Java integration frameworks and tools, such as Apache Camel, Spring Integration, or MuleSoft. 
  • Strong understanding of integration architecture, including design patterns and best practices for API and data integration. 
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms Microsoft Azure/AWS/GCP/Openshift. 
  • Experience in containerization and orchestration such as Kubernetes, Openshift 
  • Experience in Identity management like KeyClock (preferred)/ Azure AD/ Okta/ ForgeRock 
  • Experience in API Management solutions like 3Scale (preferred)/Mulesoft/Kong 
  • Experience in integration solutions including knowledge on API design and implementation. 
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization.
