Our highly motivated Workshop Technicians, with Mechanical or Auto Electrical backgrounds, are responsible for attending scheduled servicing, breakdowns, and refurbishment of equipment within the Conquest workshop with minimal supervision. This includes the operation, installation, and maintenance of customer equipment while maintaining high levels of customer service and presentation.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled service and breakdown maintenance for customers and Conquest fleet equipment.
  • Provide repair and part quotations for all machines as requested.
  • Manage workflow effectively to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Diagnose faults or technical problems, determine solutions, and arrange third-party repairs if necessary.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
  • Share knowledge with the service and technical teams to disseminate information across the organization.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workshop, and present a professional appearance.
  • Liaise with clients to build positive relationships.
  • Comply with all company and on-site safety, health, and environment procedures.
  • Adapt to changing customer demands and work flexibly.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Trade certification (preferred)
  • Auto Electrical license (preferred)
  • Hydraulic certificate (preferred)

Skills & Experience

  • High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience as a service technician in a related industry.
  • Well-organized with planning skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, review, and interpret maintenance and repair manuals, engineering design drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and resourcefully.
