About the Role

A Sydney-based singer-songwriter is seeking a mid-level music producer with expertise in production, recording, mixing, and mastering for the creation of an acoustic singer-songwriter single. This project has the potential for follow-up work, and the successful candidate will be required to be physically present in Sydney for a portion of the project, estimated to last a day or two.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the singer-songwriter to understand their vision and desired sound for the single.
  2. Produce the acoustic singer-songwriter single, incorporating elements of pop, R&B, and acoustic styles.
  3. Record the singer-songwriter's vocals and any additional instrumentation required for the single.
  4. Mix and master the recorded tracks to ensure a polished, professional sound.
  5. Provide guidance and creative input throughout the production process.
  6. Meet deadlines and deliver the final mastered single in a timely manner.

Requirements

  1. Mid-level experience in music production, recording, mixing, and mastering.
  2. Expertise in working with acoustic and singer-songwriter genres, as well as pop and R&B styles.
  3. Proficiency in using industry-standard music production software and equipment.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the singer-songwriter.
  5. Ability to work onsite in Sydney for a portion of the project.
  6. Commitment to delivering high-quality work within the specified timeline.
  7. Flexibility and adaptability to incorporate feedback and make necessary adjustments.
