TMRW Music / Sweat It Out / Central Station Split Role - Darlinghurst & Redfern, Sydney We're looking for a highly skilled early stage lawyer to join our group of companies as an in-house lawyer, working across some of Australia's most cutting edge artists, events and labels.

Admitted to practice Law in any State or Territory of Australia Must hold a current Australian State or Territory practicing certificate Have 2-5 years' experience as a qualified lawyer (ideally gained in a national or boutique IP firm or in-house of a large corporate)Knowledge of or previous experience with IP, commercial law and contracts, disputes, corporate law in the music, entertainment, events or related industries.

A passion for music, entertainment and culture.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
A desire to build a career in music, media and entertainment law.
Solid credentials and references.
Well organised and have strong attention to detail.
The ability to work fast and at times under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be working closely with company CEOs, COO and executive management, collaborating closely with the Artist & Repertoire (A&R), Touring & Events, Marketing, and Publishing departments and be their primary legal support.

You will work as the lead lawyer on strategic projects, providing day-to-day advice to the business in a wide range of legal areas, new legal and regulatory matters affecting the company, and new business initiatives.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Contract Drafting, Advising, and Negotiating: A&R: recordings and licensing contracts, including artist agreements, recording services agreements, license in and out agreements, side artist agreements, label joint venture agreements, producer agreements, and distribution agreements.


Touring & Events:

agency touring agreements, international touring agreements, festival touring agreements, venue agreements, talent agreements, production management agreements, event management agreements, sponsorship agreements, artist management agreements, merchandising agreements, and endorsement agreements.


Publishing:
artist agreements, sub-publishing agreements, and administration agreements.

Marketing:
third-party data platform agreements, brand licence agreements, and talent & influencer agreements.
Intellectual Property, Litigation and

Disputes Management:

Manage the intellectual property portfolio, overseeing trademark matters and other intellectual property enforcement Manage the litigation and disputes portfolio, representing the company in all aspects of litigation and disputes processes, both in-house and through partnering with external counsel.
