About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Shutdown Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of daily operations during a Shutdown. The Shutdown Superintendent will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all works during the shutdown.
In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of shutdowns and projects.
  • Participate as a safety leader by promoting a safety culture, understand and drive adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitor progress and identify and mitigate potential risks to execution timelines.
  • Ensure adequate scoping, resourcing, and supervision of each allocated task, such that work is completed to the required quality and standard.
  • Strong people management skills, the ability to develop and mentor Supervision and execution teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for management review.
  • Build effective working relationships with clients that leads to future opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to maximise execution efficiency, safety, and plant reliability in a cost-effective manner.
  • Act as a Company representative for operational matters.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining related legislation (Schedule 26)

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role working in the mining sector
  • Strong communication skills, work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
