About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing payroll (for Australia as well as our international entities), including all pay runs, queries and reporting requirements. This will take approximately 50% of your time. Month-end including reconciling accounts, accruing costs and revenue. Owning finance compliance calendar and tasks. Reporting on costs. Advise on initiatives that will increase profitability and growth. Contribute to the review and analysis of SaaS metrics.

About You

Essential:

Fully or Partially Qualified Accountant (CA, CIMA , ACA or CPA). 3+ years experience working as a Financial Accountant. Experience using an ERP or accounting software (, XERO), including journals and reporting. Experience owning components of a the month end process such as balance sheet account reconciliations. Experience reporting on, analyzing and controlling costs. Can do attitude, team player, inquisitive, eager to learn and continuous improvement mindset. Based in Sydney with the ability to work from Pyrmont (minimum 3 days a week) where our Head Office is located. Excellent communication skills.

Desirable:

Experience with Accounts receivable and Accounts payable. Experience with quarterly BAS submissions, FBT Returns or similar. Experience with multi-entity consolidations. UK and US accounting, payroll and tax experience. Experience with year-end Tax returns, collaborating with external auditors/accountants. Experience in a start-up or growing business would be highly regarded. We need evidence that you can work quickly in a fast-changing environment.
