The Opportunity

As our Distribution Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operational management of our small Adelaide Warehouse in Direk.

This role drives continuous process improvement and a strong health and safety culture. Responsible for the warehouse and distribution operation and scorecard this role ensures the safe, efficient and cost-effective management of our finished goods and spare parts.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Strictly maintaining standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure efficient and effective performance of the site.
  • Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and targets; analyses outcomes and implement action learning for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to all warehouse staff on performance and team/individual behaviours to drive a high performing culture and environment.
  • Work in partnership with the Health & Safety Advisor to address all work Health & Safety risks, incidents and initiatives, ensuring that these risks are mitigated or eliminated.

Our ideal applicant

We are seeking an up and coming or experienced leader with a strong background in warehouse and inventory management.  You should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading a small high performing team.
  • Solid commercial understanding ‘thinking like an owner’ along with the ability to apply specialist knowledge to deliver high quality operational decisions and continuous improvement towards effective and efficient running of the warehouse operation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Determination to set challenging targets and expectations to consistently strive for great results.
  • Good computer and excel skills.
  • Flexibility and organisation to manage multiple task deadlines with ease.
  • A forklift licence is desirable.
