YOUR OPPORTUNITY 

Reporting to the Manager, Health and Safety Systems and Design, the purpose of the role is the provide health and safety industry specialist expertise to the organisation and input to the health and safety management governance and systems ensuring they are fit for purpose and continuously improved to enable the business to achieve a high performing safety culture.  

The role is responsible for monitoring and ensuring Urban Utilities compliance to health and safety and other legislative requirements and support the health and safety management systems to ensure our people have the relevant and required tools, training, and information to undertake their work in a safe manner. 

ABOUT YOU 

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our safety commitment for the future.  Ideally, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences with relevant practical experience in an applied WHS industry role. 

  • Tertiary degree in Workplace Health and Safety or a relevant field 
  • AS4801 or ISO45001 Lead Auditor  
  • Formal Lead Investigation Training (e.g. ICAM or TapRoot)  
  • Experience in practical application of the principles of health and safety management systems 
  • A pragmatic, risk focused approach to control establishment and verification
  • Proven best practice experience within a highly regulated, high-risk industry
