A great opportunity has become available for an experienced ILS Senior Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting bids and projects with the development of ILS solutions across all domains within Thales Australia.

YOUR ROLE

Your role purpose will be:

  • Developing support system solutions in collaboration with other members of bid teams and projects
  • Working with ILS discipline delivery teams to develop support system solutions, identifying gaps and developing associated actions to support delivery and continuous improvement
  • Encouraging adoption of new tools, processes and methodologies in the ILS Discipline
  • Capitalise on and share knowledge and assets
  • Coaching program staff on the ILS discipline

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Deep understanding of cost estimation and knowledge management for ILS related activities
  • Substantial knowledge of the ILS discipline including Reliability engineering, maintainability engineering and maintenance (preventive, predictive and corrective) planning
  • Experience in the design of Support Systems and the interfaces between Mission and Support systems
  • In depth experience in supporting the ILS lifecycle from concept through to delivery
  • Continuous improvement of best practices
  • Knowledge of the challenges related to ILS activities in both acquisition and sustainment projects
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years experience in acquisition projects within major Defence Engineering projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
