About the Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated high school student keen to take their first step to a career within the art gallery space. Apply now for our Art Gallery Traineeship and work in a professional and supportive environment while you complete a nationally recognised qualification at a Certificate level.

The traineeship at the highly regarded Mosman Art Gallery is an excellent opportunity for someone with genuine interest in the Arts profession. The traineeship combines relevant study with work-based learning, structured training and formal assessment.

As a Mosman Art Gallery Trainee, you will acquire the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to support and perform a variety of art gallery administrative functions.

You will work alongside experienced art professionals and assist them in the delivery of art education and public programs and events, front of house and customer services and administration.

You’ll also gain exposure to curatorial services, collection management and participate in the design, marketing and promotional activities including those on social media, website or newsletters. Find out more about Mosman Art Gallery here.

You will be employed on a full-time fixed-term contract for the duration of the course with time off to attend classes.
