Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, located in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga. The Opportunity
Applications are invited from suitably experienced Child and Family Health Nurses to join the dynamic team at Albury Community Health. The role of the Child and Family Health Nurse forms an integral part of Primary health Care and aims to maintain, improve and promote the optimal health and wellbeing of children (0-5 years) and their families by providing services in the form of assessment, social support, education, supportive counselling, appropriate referral and documentation.
Child and Family Health Nursing practice is grounded in a strength-based partnership model and endeavours to empower families through a sensitive, flexible approach to service delivery and a commitment to individual care and public health. The casual position is ideally suited to someone who has a strong interest in Child and Family Health Nursing and genuine interest in developin their career in this area of nursing.

- Mandatory : Qualifications: a) Post-registration qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing b) Completion of Family Partnership Training, or willingness to undertake training within 12 months c) Accredited Nurse Immuniser, or willingness to undertake training within 12 months
- Mandatory : Current Nursing registration with AHPRA (Registered Nurse Division 1) and current drivers licence. Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
- Mandatory : Demonstrated commitment to patient focused care.
- Mandatory : Post-registration and recent experience appropriate to performing the role of Child and Family Health Nurse within a Community Health Service.
- Mandatory : Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
- Mandatory : Ability to plan and manage clinical activities.
- Mandatory : An understanding of and the ability to practice within a quality and risk management framework
- Mandatory : Understanding of WH&S legislation as it relates to employees’ responsibilities.
- Mandatory : Evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Mandatory : Well developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including computer literacy.
