Techforce Personnel are a national recruitment agency and project management firm specialising in blue- and white-collar recruitment across mining and resources, shutdowns, facilities maintenance, industrial services, civil construction and the oil and gas industries.

One of our trusted underground clients are looking for a permanent WHS/ER Advisor to join their team on an 8/6 basis. You will be responsible for the day to day running of HSE on site as well as overseeing the Emergency Response.

The Role    

  • Review and maintain MSMS
  • Provide expert HSE based advice across site
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures and auditing for all staff and contractors
  • Regularly provide reporting to Senior management as and when required
  • Develop and deliver HSE based training packages and initiatives
  • Develop key skill sets for all HSE & ER staff members
  • Maintenance of site risk registers and safety systems
  • Regular communication and interaction with site management, contractors, stakeholders and workers on any HSE/ER related issue/concern
  • Management and coordination of Hygiene aspects on site

  
About You   
 
To be successful in this position you will be a team player with outstanding communication and leadership skills, who is passionate about all aspects of safety leadership and creating a proactive safety culture.   

  • Minimum 5 years in Senior HSE role
  • Relevant certification in OHS/HSE (Minimum Cert 4) - Essential
  • Cert III Emergency Response - Essential
  • Underground Rescue Experience - Essential
  • Current Australian drivers licence
  • ICAM certified
  • Proved experience developing safety systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of WA mining and resources legislation, codes of practice and requirements
  • Cert IV Healthcare
  • AOD Collector
  • Experience and knowledge of injury classification and reporting practices
  • Underground experience - highly beneficial
