What's the role on offer?
Based onsite in our Head Office near Brisbane Airport, this is a new and exciting role working alongside our Procurement Supervisor within our Procurement Team. As the Procurement Officer you will be responsible for conducting effective procurement in support of the entire AMO network of; Line, Base and Workshop Maintenance environments, as well as all Part Sales activities. Some of your duties include but not limited to:
- Complete purchase, repair, and service activities promptly and cost-effectively.
- Meet internal and external procurement needs efficiently and financially.
- Interrogate multiple systems and effectively manipulate data output.
- Take ownership of procurement issues, escalating to the Procurement Supervisor or Engineering Supply Chain Manager as needed.
- Provide accurate procurement reports, generate documentation timely, and use reporting tools to measure performance.
- Develop strong relationships with management, suppliers, and stay updated on industry trends, while promoting continuous improvement and handling additional duties as required.

Who we are looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the aviation industry with aircraft inventory computer programmes. You will be excited for new challenges and open to embracing the growth of our Airline. Ideally you would be familiar with procurement and supplier management disciplines, as well as a familiarity to the operational objectives and pressure points of an aviation business. Your skills will consist of:
- Qualifications in Procurement and contracting as well as purchasing.
- Ability to develop and implement processes, apply logic to data compilation, and use strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, advanced computer skills, and great numeracy.
- Demonstrated capability to work autonomously as well as in a team-focused environment, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and organise work.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks and maintain accuracy while adhering to work instructions.
