Due to increased resourcing requirements from current large projects and sustaining capital project portfolio, we have a need to source multiple Senior Electrical Designers.
 
About the Role:

  • Develop detailed electrical designs, models, drawings, and specifications in accordance with industry standards and project specifications
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Contribute technical and design assistance to provide engineering design solutions in consultation with Lead Drafter or Lead Engineer
  • Demonstrate high standard of personal safety and safe design practices
  • Ensure drafting and review processes are completed. Review drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with company Standards. Execute checking of design drawings and participate in squad checks as directed
  • Complete work in accordance with cost and schedule and ensure project and client expectations are met.
  • Support the continuous improvement of design systems used by the organisation and investigate new drafting techniques and drafting equipment and recommend changes to standard practices
  • Attend site as required to build and support construction projects.
  • Anticipated 12+ month duration
  • Located in Perth city Office.

What we are looking for:

  • 7 to 10 years’ relevant E&I design experience
  • Highly proficient in MicroStation (3D as well as 2D)
  • Ideally familiar with Rio Tinto and BHP systems and procedures
  • May be required to undertake occasional site visits
