Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Design Lead to join our team at CPC Engineering. As a key member of our electrical engineering department, you will be responsible for guiding complex projects and driving innovation in the field while ensuring adherence to quality standards and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical engineering deliverables including package engineering, calculations, and plant design.
  • Provide project review of electrical deliverables and coordinate designs with drafts people.
  • Review progress and schedule, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ability to create, improve, and monitor work practices relating to Electrical/Instrument Engineering methods.
  • Review and create standards for business, adhering to all CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures, and quality management requirements.

Requirements

  • Industry-related higher education degree.
  • Significant industry experience, preferably within the minerals process plant design sector.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Skills and Experience

  • High-level communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment.
  • Ability to produce study estimates and manage studies and small site projects, including variation management.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills for systems and follow up.
  • Knowledge of databases and version control.
  • Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Extensive industry contacts and ability to win the confidence of Clients through business development.
