Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Podiatrist with a passion for rural healthcare to join our team. The Podiatrist, Rural Generalist will utilise their clinical expertise, generalist and/or specialist knowledge, and professional competence to deliver a wide range of podiatric services tailored to the unique needs of our local communities. Working under reduced clinical direction, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and evaluating podiatric interventions, contributing to the overall well-being of individuals and the community at large.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive podiatric services for individuals and groups within rural and remote communities. Provide clinical direction and support to less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants, and students as needed. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and service providers from other sectors to deliver holistic healthcare solutions. Utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy, and evaluation approaches to address podiatric issues. Participate in health promotion initiatives and community development projects to improve the overall health outcomes of the community. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to relevant professional standards and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Must hold a recognised qualification within the Podiatry profession, and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association. For those professions requiring Registration, all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration must be fulfilled.
