Purpose of the Role:

The QA/QC Coordinator is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing and managing quality assurance and quality control processes within the project. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that products and services meet or exceed specified quality standards and regulatory requirements across all aspects of the project's operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline. Certification in quality management or quality assurance is preferred. White Card

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, with a proven track record of coordinating QA/QC efforts. Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices. Proficiency in quality management software and tools. Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works. Good understanding of Quality Specification (Q6) and ISO AS/NZS 9001 requirements. Sound knowledge of construction materials and related specifications. Experience in Microsoft office suite and any EMDS.

Organizational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage and coordinate QA/QC activities efficiently Results-Driven: A commitment to achieving and maintaining high-quality standards to ensure successful project outcomes. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address quality related challenges effectively.

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Quality Planning: Develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and policies that align with organizational objectives and standards. Quality Audits: Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with quality standards, identifying areas for improvement. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality-related processes, inspections, and corrective actions. Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements, monitor supplier performance, and address quality issues. Non-Conformity Resolution: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, working with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions. Quality Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant industry codes, standards, and specifications. Reporting: Prepare and deliver reports to senior management, summarizing quality performance and improvement initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing processes and implementing quality improvements across the organization. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate quality standards and expectations to employees, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders. Training: Provide training and guidance to employees on quality assurance and quality control best practices.
