Purpose of the Role:

The QA/QC Coordinator is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing and managing quality assurance and quality control processes within the project. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that products and services meet or exceed specified quality standards and regulatory requirements across all aspects of the project's operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in quality management or quality assurance is preferred.
  • White Card

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, with a proven track record of coordinating QA/QC efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works.
  • Good understanding of Quality Specification (Q6) and ISO AS/NZS 9001 requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of construction materials and related specifications.
  • Experience in Microsoft office suite and any EMDS.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address quality related challenges effectively.

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Quality Planning: Develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and policies that align with organizational objectives and standards.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with quality standards, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality-related processes, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality requirements, monitor supplier performance, and address quality issues.
  • Non-Conformity Resolution: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, working with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Quality Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant industry codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver reports to senior management, summarizing quality performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing processes and implementing quality improvements across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate quality standards and expectations to employees, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to employees on quality assurance and quality control best practices.
