We are consistently seeking skilled pipelayers to assist in projects across Melbourne.

Your role as a Pipelayer
Responsibilities include:

  • Repairing damaged sewer and stormwater pipes
  • Installing sewer and stormwater pipes using proper joining methods and techniques
  • Excavating trenches to the correct depth and alignment
  • Connecting sewer pipes to manholes, inspection chambers, and other sewer system components
  • Reporting to site management and supervisors
  • Performing daily manual handling and heavy lifting duties
  • Ensuring proper grading and alignment of sewer pipes
  • Backfilling trenches and compacting soil to restore the area to its original condition
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication
  • Following OHS protocols
  • Maintaining a clean and organized worksite
  • Identifying and reporting any issues or challenges encountered during the pipe-laying process

Skills and Experience Requirements
To be successful, you will:

  • Hold a construction white card
  • Have a minimum 12 month experience working on construction sites (water civil experience highly regarded)
  • Demonstrate awareness of OH&S procedures and standards
  • Be willing to work well within a team environment
  • Have the physical stamina to work a full an 8-hour workday.
  • Possess a poly welding ticket (desirable, but not essential).
