About the role:
Our Infrastructure Engagement team is leading one of our corporate objectives to be active and visible in our community and are delivering essential engagement programs to build our presence in the region. You will support the Infrastructure Engagement Lead to deliver strategic infrastructure engagement supporting critical infrastructure for our growing water and sewerage network and support the comprehensive business-wide adoption of the Infrastructure Engagement Framework to deliver a consistent approach to engagement across projects and programs. Additionally, you will support the strategic leadership in delivery of infrastructure engagement activities that support the planning and delivery of business and capital projects, in ways that seek to continually increase opportunity for meaningful project stakeholder participation and connection, while managing risks and making a positive contribution to our reputation.  

About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
  

  • Previous experience in an infrastructure engagement role, leading strategic and large infrastructure projects, coupled with a strong understanding of engagement methodology and its application to programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring team members and providing strategic advice and guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a strong stakeholder engagement focus.
  • Well-developed organisational, planning and project management skills, coupled with strong communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Research and problem-solving skills including the ability to synthesise and summarise complex issues, identify contentious and emergent issues and develop potential recommendations and/or implement options for their resolution as required.
  • Experience working in a dynamic small team environment, sharing information and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations.
